STAUNTON – (7:50 a.m.) Both northbound lanes of Interstate 81 have reopened in Shenandoah County, following a tractor trailer crash during early morning hours on Tuesday. The accident took place at exit 296 (Strasburg) and had northbound I-81 blocked until about 7:30 a.m.

Crews plan to return to the crash scene Tuesday night to remove a large amount of debris from the median. This operation is not expected to cause significant traffic delays.
