TRAFFIC ALERT: SLOW ROLLS SCHEDULED TODAY AT INTERSTATE 81’s EXIT 105 IN MONTGOMERY COUNTY
SALEM - As part of the ongoing New River Bridge project at exit 105 on I-81, slow rolls will be in place today as new beams are set over the interstate.
Today, November 20, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., slow rolls will be in place northbound at mile marker 101 and southbound at mile marker 105. Traffic may be stopped for up to 15 minutes per slow roll and four slow rolls are expected to be performed.
In addition, the southbound on-ramp to exit 105 will be closed during each slow roll.
Drivers should plan accordingly and expect delays in the area. Message boards will be in place.
Slow rolls are anticipated to continue on I-81 on various days over the next few weeks. The project is expected to be complete in December 2020.
