TRAFFIC ALERT: NIGHTTIME PAVING TO CLOSE ROUTE 220 TURN LANES ONTO WIRTZ ROAD IN FRANKLIN COUNTY

SALEM – Weather permitting, nighttime paving will close the turn lanes from southbound and northbound Route 220 onto Route 697 (Wirtz Road) in Franklin County.

The turn lane closures are tentatively scheduled each night from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m., Monday, September 23, through Wednesday, September 25. 

The left turn lane from southbound Route 220 and the right turn lane from northbound Route 220 onto Wirtz Road will be closed each night.

When the turn lanes are closed for paving, drivers can access Wirtz Road using Route 635 (Bonbrook Mill Road) from Route 220.

Message boards will be posted at the Route 220 and Wirtz Road intersection to alert motorists of the upcoming turn lane closures.
