COMMONWEALTH TRANSPORTATION BOARD AWARDS CONTRACT FOR RICHMOND DISTRICT PAVING PROJECT
$5.4 million project will resurface a segment of Interstate 295 south in Prince George County

SOUTH CHESTERFIELD, Va. — At its monthly meeting, the Commonwealth Transportation Board (CTB) awarded a contract worth approximately $5.4 million to Allan Myers VA Inc., of Glen Allen to pave a segment of Interstate 295 south in Prince George County.

The work will resurface approximately eight miles of I-295 south between I-95 (mile marker 0) and mile marker 8 with a plant mix treatment. The State of Good Repair funded paving project will allow for safer travel and help prolong the working life of the existing pavement. Drivers can expect alternating lane closures and ramp closures with detours in place during work. Work will be completed by summer 2022. A full map of Virginia routes scheduled for paving will be posted to https://www.virginiadot.org.
