Meadowlark Drive Five-Day Closures in Paeonian Springs Begin July 17
Detours in place during replacement of three stormwater pipes
PAEONIAN SPRINGS – Three sections of Meadowlark Drive (Route 800) will be closed to through traffic for five days each, weather permitting, beginning Monday, July 17 for stormwater pipe replacement, according to the Virginia Department of Transportation.
Meadowlark Drive will be closed to through traffic as follows:
- Pipe 1: Between Irene Road (Route 706) and the western intersection of Quail Creek Circle (Route 1090) - From 9 a.m. Monday, July 17 through Friday, July 21. Through traffic will be detoured via Irene Road, Hamilton Station Road (Route 704), Route 7, Route 9 (Charles Town Pike) and Simpson Circle (Route 662) back to Meadowlark Drive
- Pipe 2: Between the eastern Quail Creek Circle intersection and Simpson Circle - From 9 a.m. Monday, July 24 through Friday, July 28. Through traffic will be detoured via Irene Road, Hamilton Station Road, Route 7, Route 9 and Simpson Circle back to Meadowlark Drive.
- Pipe 3: Between the Quail Creek Circle western and eastern intersections - From 9 a.m. Monday, July 31 through Friday, Aug. 4. Through traffic will be detoured via Quail Creek Circle back to Meadowlark Drive.
Those needing to reach properties along Meadowlark Drive will have access; however, traffic will not be able to go beyond the points of pipe replacement in either direction. Pipe 1 is located near 39550 Meadowlark Drive and Pipe 2 is located near 39782 Meadowlark Drive.
Drivers are asked to follow posted detour signs.
