Pipe Replacement along Hamilton Station Road in Waterford June 27-30
Update: The stormwater pipe replacement closures have been rescheduled for June 28-30 due to weather
Update: Due to weather, the closures have been rescheduled for Tuesday, June 28 through Thursday, June 30 between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. each day.
WATERFORD – Hamilton Station Road (Route 704) between Route 9 (Charles Town Pike) and Clarkes Gap Road (Route 662) will be closed to through traffic, weather permitting, Monday, June 27 through Thursday, June 30 between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. each day to replace stormwater pipes, according to the Virginia Department of Transportation.
Those needing to reach properties along Hamilton Station Road will have access; however, traffic will not be able to go beyond the points of pipe replacement in either direction.
Through traffic will be detoured via Route 9 and Clarkes Gap Road back to Hamilton Station Road. Drivers are asked to follow posted detour signs.
Drivers, cyclists and pedestrians are reminded to use caution when traveling in active work zones. Be alert to new traffic patterns and limit distractions.
