FAIRFAX – Temporary ramp closures are scheduled to occur during the overnight hours next week at the following I-66 interchanges as part of the Transform 66 Outside the Beltway Project. 

Details include:

Tuesday night, May 31, through Thursday night, June 2
Ramp from Route 29 (Lee Highway) North to I-66 West
The ramp will be closed from midnight to 4 a.m. each night for underdrain repair. Traffic will be detoured farther north to the intersection of Machen Road/Trinity Parkway. At the traffic signal drivers will use the left-most left turn lane to make a U-turn onto Route 29 South, then stay to the right and follow signs to I-66 West.

Tuesday night, May 31, through Friday night, June 3
Ramp from Route 50 West to I-66 West
The ramp will be closed Tuesday through Thursday nights from midnight to 4 a.m., and Friday night from midnight to 5 a.m. for signage installation work. Traffic will be detoured farther west to Route 608 (West Ox Road) South, stay to the right to Route 50 East, then follow signs to I-66 West.

Tuesday night, May 31, through Friday night, June 3
Ramp from I-66 East to Route 286 (Fairfax County Parkway) South
The ramp will be closed nightly Tuesday through Thursday from midnight to 4 a.m., and Friday night from midnight to 5 a.m. for sign installation work. Traffic will be directed to Route 286 North, stay right to I-66 West, then stay right to Route 286 South.

Tuesday, May 31, through Thursday, June 2
Ramp from I-66 East to I-495 North  
The ramp will be closed from 10 p.m. to 4:30 a.m. each night for overhead bridge work. Traffic will be directed to I-495 South, take the exit to Route 50 (Arlington Boulevard) East, stay to the right to Fairview Park, take the left fork to Fairview Park North, bear left at the traffic signal, then stay to the right following signs to I-495 North.

Tuesday night, May 31, and Wednesday night, June 1
Ramp from I-66 West to I-495 South
The ramp will be closed from midnight to 4 a.m. both nights for a traffic shift. Traffic will be directed to continue farther west to Nutley Street, stay to the left on the ramp and turn left at the traffic signal onto Nutley Street South, stay right to I-66 East, then follow signs to I-495 South.

Wednesday night, June 1, through Friday night, June 3
Ramp from Route 50 East to I-66 West
The ramp will be closed Wednesday and Thursday nights from midnight to 4 a.m., and Friday night from midnight to 5 a.m. for barrier and drainage work. Traffic will be directed to continue farther east, stay to the left and use the left-most left turn lane to make a U-turn at the traffic signal at Waples Mill Road onto Route 50 West, then stay to the right and follow signs to I-66 West.

Wednesday, June 1, through Friday, June 3
Ramp from I-495 North to I-66 East
The ramp will be closed nightly from 10 p.m. to 4:30 a.m. for overhead bridge work. Traffic will be directed to I-66 West, take the exit to Nutley Street, stay to the left on the ramp and turn left at the traffic signal onto Nutley Street South, then stay right to I-66 East.

Wednesday night, June 1, and Thursday night, June 2
Ramp from I-66 West to Route 28 North
The ramp will be closed from midnight to 4 a.m. both nights for wall work. Traffic will be detoured to Route 28 South, to Route 29 (Lee Highway) North, stay to the right and follow signs to Route 28 North. 

I-66 West to Braddock Road/Walney Road
The ramp will be closed from midnight to 4 a.m. each night for wall work. Traffic will be detoured to Route 28 South, to Route 29 North, follow signs to Route 28 North, then follow signs to the Braddock Road/Walney Road left exit.

Thursday night, June 2, and Friday night, June 3
Ramp from I-66 East to Route 50 East 
The ramp will be closed Thursday night from midnight to 4 a.m. and Friday night from midnight to 5 a.m. for drainage work. Traffic will be detoured to Route 50 West, exit to Route 608 (West Ox Road) South, then stay to the right to Route 50 East. 

Saturday night, June 4
Ramp from Nutley South to I-66 East 
The ramp will be closed from midnight to 5 a.m. for overhead bridge work and sign removal. Traffic will be detoured farther south, stay to the left and make a U-turn at the traffic signal at Route 29 (Lee Highway) onto Nutley Street North, then follow signs to I-66 East.
