Overnight Ramp Closures at Multiple I-66 Interchanges, January 9-15, for the Transform 66 Outside the Beltway Project
FAIRFAX – Temporary ramp closures are scheduled to occur during the overnight hours next week at the following I-66 interchanges as part of the Transform 66 Outside the Beltway Project.
Details include:
Monday, January 10, through Thursday, January 13
Ramp from I-495 North to I-66 West
The ramp will be closed nightly Monday through Wednesday from 9:30 p.m. to 4:30 a.m., and Thursday night from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. for a concrete pour and overhead bridge work. Traffic will be directed to continue north to Route 7 (Leesburg Pike) West, stay to the right to I-495 South, then follow signs to I-66 West.
Ramp from I-495 North to I-66 East
The ramp will be closed nightly Monday through Wednesday from 9:30 p.m. to 4:30 a.m., and Thursday night from 11 p.m. to 4:30 a.m. for a concrete pour and overhead bridge work. Traffic will be directed to continue north to Route 7 East, travel about one mile, then follow signs to I-66 East.
Wednesday night, January 12, and Thursday night, January 13
Ramp from Route 29 (Lee Highway) South Gainesville to I-66 East
The ramp will be closed from midnight to 4 a.m. each night for utility work. Traffic will be directed to continue south to the traffic signal at Virginia Oaks Drive, stay to the left and make a U-turn from the left-most left turn lane onto Route 29 North, then follow signs to I-66 East.
Thursday night, January 13, and Friday night, January 14
Ramp from I-66 East to Route 50 East
The ramp will be closed from midnight to 4 a.m. each night for road construction. Traffic will be detoured to Route 50 West, exit to Route 608 (West Ox Road) South, then stay to the right to Route 50 East.
