Overnight Ramp Closure, Traffic Pattern Change Planned for I-66 East to Route 286 (Fairfax County Parkway) on Wednesday Night, October 5

FAIRFAX – The collector-distributor lane and ramps from I-66 East to Route 286 (Fairfax County Parkway) North and South will be closed during the overnight hours Wednesday night, October 5, from midnight to 4 a.m. for a traffic shift. Traffic will be directed to continue farther east to Route 50 West, stay to the right to I-66 West, then follow signs to Route 286 North or South. This work is part of the Transform 66 Outside the Beltway Project.

When the collector-distributor lane and ramps reopen during the early morning hours Thursday, October 6, the entrance to the collector-distributor lane (Exit 55) will be shifted about one-third mile prior to (west of) the old entrance.

All work is weather dependent and will be rescheduled if inclement conditions occur.
