I-395 Northbound Nighttime Lane Closures at Edsall Road in Springfield Oct. 3-6
Overnight traffic stoppages for bridge painting work

SPRINGFIELD – The northbound I-395 general purpose lanes will have nightly lane closures at Edsall Road (Route 648), weather permitting, Monday night, Oct. 3 through Thursday night, Oct. 6 for bridge painting work, according to the Virginia Department of Transportation.

Each night, the left two lanes of northbound I-395 at Edsall Road will be closed at 10 p.m., followed by the left three lanes at 11 p.m. Total stoppages lasting up to 20 minutes each are scheduled to occur between midnight and 4 a.m. All lanes will reopen by 5 a.m.

All Edsall Road interchange (Exit 2) ramps will remain open.

Drivers are reminded to use caution when traveling in active work zones. Be alert to new traffic patterns and limit distractions.
