UPDATE (6/21/2021): This work has been rescheduled to July 9-12.

FAIRFAX –The ramp from Route 29 (Lee Highway) North and South to I-66 East in Centreville will be closed from 10 a.m. on Friday, June 25, through 4 a.m. on Monday, June 28, for paving operations. Northbound traffic will be directed to continue about one and a half miles farther north to Route 28 North, then follow signs to I-66 East. Southbound traffic will be directed to continue farther south to the intersection with Stone Road, stay to the left and make a U-turn at the traffic signal on to Route 29 North, travel to Route 28 North, and then exit to I-66 East.  

When the ramps from Route 29 North and South to I-66 East reopen Monday morning, the temporary detour of the ramp from southbound Route 29 to I-66 East will end. The ramp has been temporarily closed since mid-May to allow for construction to widen and realign the ramp as part of the Transform 66 Outside the Beltway Project.

All work is weather dependent and will be rescheduled if inclement conditions occur.
