Traffic Stoppages Planned on I-66 East and West at Stringfellow Road for Utility Work on Monday Night, April 5

FAIRFAX – Overnight traffic stoppages are planned for I-66 East and West near Stringfellow Road in Centreville on Monday, April 5, between 10 p.m. and 5 a.m., so that overhead utility lines can be removed. Traffic on I-66 will be stopped in both directions simultaneously three times for up to 10 minutes each to accommodate the work, which is needed for the Transform 66 Outside the Beltway Project.

State Police will be on hand to aid in the coordination of the stoppages. Drivers should expect delays in the area during this work.

All work is weather dependent, and will be rescheduled to the following day if inclement conditions occur.

Construction and lane closure updates are available at Transform66.org and on Twitter @VaDOTNOVA. To receive updates automatically by email, sign up here.
