UPDATE (7/27/2021): An additional night has been added to the closure of the ramp from Route 50 West to I-66 East. It will also be closed Wednesday night, July 28, from midnight to 4 a.m.

Details include:

Friday night, July 23, and Sunday night, July 25, through Thursday night, July 29
Ramp from I-66 West to Nutley Street North and South
The ramp will be closed from midnight to 4 a.m. each night for drainage work. Traffic will be directed farther west to the exit to Vienna/Fairfax/GMU Station, stay to the right on to Country Creek Road, continue on to Virginia Center Boulevard, then turn left or right at the traffic signal to go north or south on Nutley Street. 

Friday night, June 23, Monday night, July 26, and Wednesday night, July 28
Ramp from Route 123 (Chain Bridge Road) North and South to I-66 East
The ramp will be closed each night from midnight to 4 a.m. for traffic shifts on the ramp. Traffic will be directed to I-66 West, exit to Route 50 East, stay to the left and follow signs to I-66 East.

Saturday, July 24, through Thursday, July 28
Ramp from Route 50 West to I-66 West
The ramp will be closed nightly from 11 p.m. to 5 a.m. for a traffic shift and Route 50 bridge demolition. Traffic will be directed farther west, exit to Route 608 (West Ox Road South), stay to the right to Route 50 East, then follow signs to I-66 West.

Monday night, July 26, and Tuesday night, July 27
Ramp from Route 50 West to I-66 East
The ramp will be closed from midnight to 4 a.m. both nights for traffic shifts on the ramp. Traffic will be detoured farther west to West Ox Road South, stay to the right to Route 50 East, then follow signs to I-66 East.  (NOTE: This closure will not occur the same night as the below closure of the ramp from Route 50 East to I-66 East.)

Monday night, July 26, and Tuesday night, July 27
Ramp from Route 50 East to I-66 East
The ramp will be closed from midnight to 4 a.m. both nights for bridge work. Traffic will be directed farther east, stay to the left and use the left-most left turn lane to make a U-turn at the traffic signal at Waples Mill Road, then stay to the right and follow signs to I-66 East.  (NOTE: This closure will not occur the same night as the above closure of the ramp from Route 50 West to I-66 East.)

Friday night, July 30, and Saturday night, July 31
Ramp from Route 28 South to I-66 West
The ramp will be closed from midnight to 5 a.m. each night for a traffic switch. Traffic will be directed to continue south, exit to Route 29 North, travel almost a mile then follow signs to I-66 West. 

All work is weather dependent and will be rescheduled if inclement conditions occur.
