Overnight Ramp Closures at Multiple I-66 Interchanges Next Week for the Transform 66 Outside the Beltway Project
FAIRFAX – Temporary ramp closures are scheduled to occur during the overnight hours next week at several I-66 interchanges throughout the Transform 66 Outside the Beltway Project corridor.
Details include:
Monday night, March 15, and Tuesday night, March 16
Ramp from I-66 East to Route 29 (Lee Highway)
The ramp will be closed from midnight to 4 a.m. each night to adjust the construction entrance and remove barrier. Traffic will be directed to continue farther east to Route 286 (Fairfax County Parkway) North, stay to the right for I-66 West, then follow signs to Route 29.
Wednesday, March 17
Ramp from I-66 West to Route 234 Business (Sudley Road) North
The ramp will be closed from 11 p.m. to 5 a.m. for restriping. Traffic will continue on the ramp and exit to Route 234 Business South, turn right at the third traffic signal onto Coverstone Drive, take the first right to Miramar Drive, turn right on Balls Ford Road, then turn left at the traffic signal on to Route 234 Business North.
Wednesday night, March 17, and Friday night, March 19
Ramp from I-66 West to Route 123 (Chain Bridge Road)
The ramp will be closed from midnight to 4 a.m. each night for paving and shifting barrier. Traffic will be directed to continue on I-66 West, exit to Route 50 East, stay left to reach I-66 East, then follow signs to Route 123.
Thursday, March 18
Ramp from I-66 West to Route 234 Business South
The ramp will be closed from 11 p.m. to 5 a.m. for restriping. All traffic exiting at Route 234 Business will be directed to Route 234 Business North. To reach Route 234 Business South, drivers will turn right at the traffic signal onto Battleview Parkway, turn right on Infantry Ridge Road, left on Battleview Parkway, then left at the traffic signal on to Route 234 Business South.
All work is weather dependent and will be rescheduled if inclement conditions occur.
