Overnight Ramp Closures at I-66 Interchanges at Route 234 Business (Sudley Road) and Route 123 (Chain Bridge Road) Next Week for the Transform 66 Outside the Beltway Project

UPDATE (3/26/2021): The ramp from from I-66 West to Route 234 Business (Sudley Road) North and South will be closed nightly through Thursday, April 1.

FAIRFAX – Temporary ramp closures are scheduled to occur during the overnight hours next week at multiple I-66 interchanges throughout the Transform 66 Outside the Beltway Project corridor. 

Details include:

Monday, March 29, and Tuesday, March 30
Ramp from I-66 West to Route 234 Business (Sudley Road) North and South 
The ramp will be closed from 11 p.m. to 5 a.m. each night for restriping and barrier removal. Drivers will be directed to continue farther west, exit to Route 29 (Lee Highway) North Gainesville, stay to the left on the ramp and turn left at the traffic signal on to Route 29 South, then stay to the right to reach I-66 East and follow signs to Route 234 Business.

Tuesday night, March 30, and Wednesday night, March 31
Ramp from I-66 West to Route 123 (Chain Bridge Road) North and South 
The ramp will be closed from midnight to 4 a.m. each night for paving and shifting barrier. Traffic will be directed to continue farther west, exit to Route 50 East, stay left to reach I-66 East, then follow signs to Route 123.

All work is weather dependent and will be rescheduled if inclement conditions occur.
