Temporary Closure of Rose Forest Drive between Rosehaven Street and Route 123 (Chain Bridge Road) Beginning On/About Tuesday, September 8
Closure and detour in place for approximately one week for underground utility work
FAIRFAX – Rose Forest Drive between Rosehaven Street and Route 123 in Oakton will be temporarily closed beginning on or about Tuesday, September 8, while crews relocate underground utilities as part of the Transform 66 Outside the Beltway Project. The closure will be in place for approximately one week.
Traffic will be detoured via Rosehaven Street, Jermantown Road, and Route 123. Drivers should observe posted detours and allow additional time if traveling in this area.
The right turn-only lane from Route 123 South to Rose Forest Drive will remain closed for about two additional weeks after Rose Forest Drive reopens. Drivers will be allowed to turn right from the right through lane of Route 123 South instead.
All work is weather dependent and will be rescheduled if inclement conditions occur.
