Restriping along Northbound Wiehle Avenue in Reston May 18-22
Safety improvement converts left through lane to left-turns at Fairway Drive and Inlet
Update: The work was completed Tuesday, May 19.
RESTON – Crews will be reconfiguring pavement markings on northbound Wiehle Avenue (Route 828) between North Shore Drive (southern intersection) and Inlet Court Monday, May 18 through Friday, May 22 (weather permitting), according to the Virginia Department of Transportation.
Drivers can expect lane closures from 9:30 a.m. until at least 3 p.m. each day.
The restriping work involves converting the northbound Wiehle Avenue left through lane to a left-turn lane at the Fairway Drive and Inlet Court intersections. This aims to improve safety and operations by making it easier to turn left from northbound Wiehle Avenue onto Fairway Drive and Inlet Court, and vice versa.
