Overnight Ramp Closures For The I-66 Outside The Beltway Project Next Week
Closures planned at I-495 and Prince William Parkway

FAIRFAX – Temporary ramp closures are scheduled to occur during the overnight hours next week at two I-66 interchanges so that crews can perform various construction activities for the Transform 66 Outside the Beltway Project. 

Details include:

Tuesday, June 16
Ramp from I-66 East to Route 234 Bypass (Prince William Parkway) South

  • The ramp from eastbound I-66 to southbound Prince William Parkway will be closed from 9:30 p.m. Tuesday night, June 16, to 4:30 a.m. Wednesday morning, June 17. (Wednesday night, June 17, is planned as a backup night.) Traffic will be detoured to continue farther east to the Route 234 Business (Sudley Road) Interchange, turn left onto northbound Sudley Road, make a left at the light onto westbound I-66, then follow signs to Prince William Parkway.

Tuesday, June 16, and Wednesday, June 17
Ramp from I-66 East to 495 Express Lanes South

  • The ramp from eastbound I-66 to the southbound 495 Express Lanes will be closed Tuesday night, June 16, and Wednesday night, June 17, from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. for crews to perform utility work. Traffic will be directed to use the I-495 South general purpose lanes.

All work is weather dependent and will be rescheduled if inclement conditions occur.
