Overnight Ramp Closures at the I-66 Interchanges with Route 234 Business (Sudley Road) and Route 28 Next Week for the Transform 66 Outside the Beltway Project
FAIRFAX – Temporary ramp closures are scheduled to occur during the overnight hours next week at the I-66 interchange with Route 234 Business (Sudley Road) and Route 28 so that crews can perform bridge and drainage work for the Transform 66 Outside the Beltway Project.
Details include:
Monday, September 21, through Friday, September 25
Ramp from Route 234 Business to I-66 West
The ramp will be closed nightly Monday, September 21, through Friday, September 25, between 10 p.m. and 5 a.m. Drivers will be detoured north of I-66 to Route 29 South, travel about four miles, then follow signs to I-66 West. As an alternate route, drivers on Route 234 Business can proceed west on Balls Ford Road, turn right on to Route 234 (Prince William Parkway) North, then follow signs to I-66 West.
Tuesday, September 22, through Friday, September 25
Ramp from I-66 West to Route 28 North
The ramp will be closed nightly Tuesday, September 22, through Friday, September 25, between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m. for overhead bridge work. Traffic will be detoured to Route 28 South, to Route 29 North, then stay to the right and follow signs for Route 28 North.
Message boards on I-66 are providing advance notice of lane closures and traffic stoppages.
All work is weather dependent and will be rescheduled if inclement conditions occur.
