The overnight lane closures will occur Monday night through Thursday night between 10 p.m. each night and 5 a.m. the following morning.

In addition, the following full closures will take place:

  • 10 p.m. Monday night to 5 a.m. Tuesday morning and 10 p.m. Tuesday night to 5 a.m. Wednesday morning: Full closure of the ramp from northbound Lee Highway to eastbound I-66. A quarter-mile of a wider Custis Trail from North Lynn Street to North Oak Street opened to bicyclists and pedestrians in August. Upgraded pedestrian signals and curb ramps have also been installed at the southbound Lee Highway intersections of North Lynn Street, Fort Myer Drive, North Nash Street and North Oak Street.

The project also includes improvements along about 300 feet of North Lynn Street, including:

  • Wider sidewalks
  • Improved curb ramps
  • Upgraded traffic signals
  • A new bike lane
  • Decorative lighting
  • Landscaping

A public art installation by Arlington County called “Corridor of Light” will also be incorporated, with prominent elements at each of the four corners of the North Lynn Street bridge over I-66.

The entire project is scheduled for completion in late spring.
