Update: Lightridge Farm Road reopened to through traffic Monday, Sept. 28.

ALDIE – Lightridge Farm Road from Gardenia Drive to just south of Lightridge High School will be closed to through traffic beginning Wednesday, Aug. 26 for paving, according to the Virginia Department of Transportation.

Those needing to reach properties along Lightridge Farm Road will have access. The closure will be in place for approximately a month, during which time drivers can use Northstar Boulevard and Braddock Road to reach Lightridge High School and other destinations.

The paving of more than half a mile of Lightridge Farm Road is occurring under VDOT’s Rural Rustic Road Program, which aims to preserve the traditional feel of a rural road while making surface and other improvements within the current right-of-way.
