Daytime Closure of Ramp from I-66 West to Nutley Street North Planned for Wednesday, July 8, and Thursday, July 9, for Utility Work
UPDATE: This work has been completed. The closure will not be needed tomorrow, Thursday, July 9.
FAIRFAX – The ramp from westbound I-66 to northbound Nutley Street is scheduled to close during the daytime hours of Wednesday, July 8, and Thursday, July 9, from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m., so that Dominion Energy can work on overhead wires along the ramp as part of the Transform 66 Outside the Beltway Project.
Traffic will be directed to continue farther west on the collector-distributor road to the exit for Vienna/Fairfax/GMU Station. At the top of the ramp, drivers should stay to the right for Country Creek Road, continue straight as the road becomes Virginia Center Boulevard, then turn left at the traffic signal on northbound Nutley Street.
All work is weather dependent. Work will be rescheduled to the following day if inclement conditions occur.
