Artemus Road Closed in Gainesville May 27-28
Detour in place during stormwater pipe work
GAINESVILLE – Artemus Road (Route 704) between Catharpin Road (Route 676) and Pageland Lane (Route 705) will be closed to through traffic (weather permitting) from 9 a.m. Wednesday, May 27 to 10 p.m. Thursday, May 28 to replace a stormwater pipe, according to the Virginia Department of Transportation.
Those needing to reach properties along Artemus Road will have access; however, traffic will not be able to go beyond the point of pipe replacement in either direction.
Artemus Road through traffic will be detoured via Catharpin Road, Thornton Drive (Route 623) and Pageland Lane back to Artemus Road.
