Ramps from Route 50 West and Route 123 (Chain Bridge Road) South to I-66 West Scheduled to Close During Overnight Hours Next Week

FAIRFAX, Va. - Temporary ramp closures and detours are scheduled during overnight hours next week for ramps from US Route 50 and Route 123 (Chain Bridge Road) to I-66 West. Closures are needed for construction activities for the Transform 66 Outside the Beltway Project. 

Details include:

Monday, February 25: Ramp from Route 123 (Chain Bridge Road) South to I-66 West

  • The ramp from southbound Route 123 to westbound I-66 will be closed during the overnight hours of Monday, February 25, between midnight and 4 a.m. Traffic will be detoured farther south to I-66 East, stay to the right for Route 123 North, and then follow signs to I-66 West.

Wednesday, February 27, and Thursday, February 28: Ramp from Route 50 West to I-66 West

  • The ramp from westbound Route 50 to westbound I-66 will be closed during the overnight hours of Wednesday, February 27, and Thursday, February 28, between midnight and 4 a.m. Traffic will be detoured farther west to Route 608 (West Ox Road) South, then directed to stay to the right for Route 50 East, then follow signs to I-66 West.

 

All work is weather dependent and will be rescheduled if inclement conditions occur.
