Overnight Ramp Closures, Traffic Stoppages Tonight Into Next Week At Route 123 And I-66 Interchange
Work needed for upcoming traffic flow changes
UPDATE: MONDAY NIGHT RAMP CLOSURE RESCHEDULED FOR THURSDAY, APRIL 11
FAIRFAX, Va. - The ramp from southbound Route 123 (Chain Bridge Road) to westbound I-66 will be closed during the overnight hours tonight, Friday, April 5, as well as Sunday, April 7, and Monday, April 8. The closure will be in effect between midnight and 4 a.m. each night. Traffic will be detoured farther south to I-66 East, stay to the right for Route 123 North, and then follow signs to I-66 West.
On Monday, April 8, and Tuesday, April 9, between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m., the left lanes will be closed on Route 123 in both directions between White Granite Drive and Eaton Place. Drivers should expect occasional 20-minute stoppages as crews shift travel lanes to accommodate upcoming traffic flow changes at the interchange as part of the Transform 66 Outside the Beltway Project.
All work is weather dependent and will be rescheduled if inclement conditions occur.
