FAIRFAX –Temporary closures are scheduled to occur during the overnight hours this week at the I-66 / Route 29 Interchange in Centreville. Closures are needed for paving operations for the Transform 66 Outside the Beltway Project. 

Details include:

Monday, Oct. 21
Ramp from I-66 West to Route 29

• Temporary closure of the ramp from I-66 West to Route 29 from 11 p.m. to 4 a.m. Traffic will be detoured prior to the closure to Route 28 South, then follow signs to Route 29 North or South.

Ramp from Route 29 South to I-66 West

• Temporary closure of the ramp from Route 29 South to I-66 West from 11 p.m. to 4 a.m. Traffic will be directed to make a left at the nearby traffic signal for the ramp from Route 29 North to I-66 West.

Tuesday, Oct. 22
Ramp from Route 29 North to I-66 West

• Temporary closure of the ramp from Route 29 North to I-66 West from 11 p.m. to 4 a.m. Traffic will be detoured farther north to Machen Road/Trinity Parkway, stay to the left and make a U-turn, then stay to the right and follow signs to I-66 West. 

Friday, Oct. 25
Ramp from I-66 East to Route 29

• Temporary
  closure of the ramp from I-66 East to Route 29 Centreville from 11 p.m. to 4 a.m.
  Traffic will be detoured farther east to Route 28 North to Westfields Boulevard West, stay to the right for Route 28 South, then follow signs to Route 29.

All work is weather dependent and will be rescheduled if inclement.
