TEMPORARY CLOSURE PLANNED FOR LANE OF U.S. 460 EAST
Drivers urged to be alert to change in traffic pattern

LYNCHBURG, Va. – The travel (right) lane of U.S. 460 east between Campbell Avenue and Concord Turnpike in the City of Lynchburg will temporarily close to traffic in the coming weeks for bridge work.

Weather permitting the lane will close from 7 p.m. on Tuesday, May 4 until 6 a.m. on Wednesday, May 5 to allow contractors on the $18M highway improvement project to place girders on a new bridge structure.

Law enforcement personnel will assist during these operations. Signs and other traffic control devices will alert motorists to the change in traffic pattern.
