LYNCHBURG, Va. – Weather permitting, starting Nov. 10, a section of Route 677 (Camp Hydaway Road) in Campbell County will be closed temporarily for installation of a stormwater pipe as part of a Liberty University project.
The portion of Route 677 starts a mile north of Route 670 (Candlers Mountain Road) and extends to 1.3 miles south of Route 664 (Old Rustburg Road).
Signs will be posted to alert drivers to the closure and designate the detour route.
Traffic can detour using Route 644 (Rustburg Road) to Route 501 (Campbell Highway) to Route 670 (Sunnymeade Road) to return to Camp Hydaway Road. The detour route is approximately 5.8 miles.
The temporary closure on Route 677 is expected to remain in place until Nov. 23.
