ROUTE 633 SAFETY IMPROVEMENTS PROJECT COMPLETE
Road open ahead of schedule on July 12

GREENSVILLE COUNTY– As of July 12, Route 633 (Independence Church Road) is open to traffic following the early completion of a safety improvements project near its intersection with Route 627 (Brink Road) in Greensville County.

Originally anticipated to be complete in fall 2022, Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) contractor crews completed the work this summer which included increasing sight distance, tree clearing, rock excavation, grading and improvements to the existing asphalt pavement to extend the service life of the 0.5 miles of roadway.

Jireh Construction Co. was awarded the $381,184 construction contract for this project.
