UPDATE: I-95 NOW OPEN IN IN FREDERICKSBURG
Northbound and southbound travel lanes have reopened following earlier police activity at Cowan Boulevard overpass near mile marker 131

FREDERICKSBURG, Va. – Interstate 95 northbound and southbound have reopened in the City of Fredericksburg near the Cowan Boulevard overpass.

Earlier police activity has concluded at the overpass, located at mile marker 131 between the Rappahannock River and the exit 130 (Route 3) interchange.

Motorists can expect brief residual travel delays in the Fredericksburg area on Route 1 and surrounding areas due to the interstate closure and detour.
