THROUGH TRUCK RESTRICTION UNDER CONSIDERATION ON ROUTE 206 IN KING GEORGE COUNTY

FREDERICKSBURG, Va. – The Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT), at the request of the King George County Board of Supervisors, is considering a through truck restriction on Route 206 (Dahlgren Road) between Route 3 and Route 301.
Signs notifying travelers that Route 206 is being considered for a through truck restriction have been installed along the affected route. The signs will be removed after 30 days.
The proposed through truck restriction on Route 206 is 9.23 miles.
The proposed alternate route for northbound and southbound trucks will be Route 3 and Route 301. The proposed alternate route is 12.52 miles.
Comments can be sent through Feb. 5, 2023 to VDOT Northern Neck Resident Engineer David Beale, 734 Barnsfield Road, Warsaw, VA 22572.
