THROUGH TRUCK RESTRICTION UNDER CONSIDERATION ON ROSA BRAN DRIVE, SKIPJACK ROAD IN WESTMORELAND

FREDERICKSBURG, Va. – The Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT), at the request of the Westmoreland County Board of Supervisors, is considering a through truck restriction in the Kinsale area of Westmoreland on Routes 715 and 718 (Rosa Bran Road) and a portion of Route 610 (Skipjack Road).
Signs notifying travelers that these routes are being considered for a through truck restriction have been installed along the affected route. The signs will be removed after 30 days.
The proposed through truck restriction on Rosa Bran Road is 0.81 miles.
The proposed through truck restriction on Skipjack Road is 1.03 miles.
Several alternate routes are proposed. Through trucks are proposed to travel Route 610 (Skipjack Road) from Route 604 (Sandy Point Road)/Route 610 (Skipjack Road) to Route 716 (Lynch Point Road). This proposed alternate route is 2.45 miles. An additional alternate route is Route 604 (Sandy Point Road) to Route 610 (Skipjack Road). This proposed alternate route is 0.96 miles.
