ROUTE 623 (JERSEY ROAD) REOPENS TO TRAFFIC IN KING GEORGE COUNTY
Shoulder will remain closed until guardrail installation is complete

FREDERICKSBURG, Va – The Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) has reopened Route 623 (Jersey Road) in King George County to traffic.

The emergency pipe replacement project that began in May 2021 is now complete and the detour has been lifted.

The shoulder along Jersey Road, just east of Rt. 301 at Gingoteague Creek, will remain closed until guardrail is installed.

The road will remain open during the guardrail work.

Jersey Road connects with Route 3 and Route 301.
