OVERNIGHT PAVING BEGINS IN TAPPAHANNOCK
Travelers can expect brief delays on Route 17 on Sunday-Thursday evenings over the next month

FREDERICKSBURG, Va. – Over the next month, travelers may encounter brief delays overnight on Route 17 in Tappahannock, where crews will be milling and paving to smooth the ride, improve the road condition and freshen pavement markings.

Single lane closures are scheduled from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. on Sunday through Thursday evenings, with work starting on Sunday, Aug. 1.

Crews will be working on Route 17 northbound and southbound, between the Mt. Landing Creek Bridge and Hoskins Creek Bridge.

Work is scheduled weather permitting.
