FREDERICKSBURG DISTRICT: CREWS READY FOR POTENTIAL RAIN-SNOW MIX
VDOT crews will mobilize early Wednesday in anticipation of potential travel impacts in the Fredericksburg area tomorrow morning

FREDERICKSBURG, Va. – Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) crews are prepared for winter's first potential storm event of the 2021-2022 season in the Fredericksburg area, which may cause travel impacts from a light rain-snow mix starting midmorning Wednesday.

Motorists are advised to check 511Virginia.org for real-time road conditions before you go. Road conditions may vary across Virginia, especially north and west of the Fredericksburg region.

VDOT crews will mobilize in the Fredericksburg area around 6 a.m. Wednesday. While snow accumulation is not anticipated with this event, crews will be prepared to address icing and slick surfaces that may develop.

Travelers are encouraged to stay alert for rapidly changing road conditions, and adjust travel plans as needed. Plan to follow news and weather report closely.

Road conditions can also be accessed through the 511Virginia free mobile app, or by calling 511 from any phone in Virginia.
