DETOUR ON OLD SALEM ROAD IN LANCASTER APRIL 14-15
Traffic will be detoured during 7:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. for drainage pipe replacement

FREDERICKSBURG, Va. ­– Route 646 (Old Salem Road) in Lancaster County will be closed to through traffic during daytime hours on Wednesday, April 14, and Thursday, April 15, for a road maintenance project. 

Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) crews will be replacing a drainage pipe. Old Salem Road will be closed to through traffic west of the entrance to Rappahannock Westminster -Canterbury between 7:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday and Thursday, weather permitting. 

Message boards will be placed to alert travelers to this upcoming road closure.
