RIVER ROAD CLOSED IN SPOTSYLVANIA COUNTY
Road is expected to remain closed through afternoon and evening rush hour period; Travelers should seek alternate routes
UPDATE (6:42 P.M.) -- River Road in Spotsylvania County is now open to traffic. The earlier crash scene near River Downs Drive has been cleared.
FREDERICKSBURG, Va. – Route 618 (River Road) in Spotsylvania County is closed near the intersection of River Downs Drive for a vehicle crash.
Travelers are advised to seek alternate routes. The road is anticipated to be closed through the afternoon and rush hour peak travel periods.
Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) crews are assisting with traffic control at the scene.
