I-95 SOUTHBOUND ON-RAMP CLOSED SUNDAY NIGHT AT EXIT 133 IN STAFFORD COUNTY
On-ramp to I-95 southbound from Route 17 southbound will be closed from 10 p.m. Sunday to 5 a.m. Monday for milling and paving

FREDERICKSBURG, Va. – The on-ramp to Interstate 95 southbound from Route 17 southbound at Exit 133 in Stafford County will be closed from 10 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 16 to 5 a.m. Monday, Aug. 17.

Detour signs will direct Route 17 southbound motorists to use other interchange ramps at Exit 133 to access I-95 southbound. View an online map of the detour.

Work has been scheduled weather permitting. If the ramp closure is postponed, it will be rescheduled for 10 p.m. Monday, Aug. 17 to 5 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 18.

Construction is underway to build a second travel lane on this on-ramp as part of the I-95 Southbound Rappahannock River Crossing project. A full ramp closure is needed Sunday evening to allow crews to mill and pave the ramp and move work zone barrier in preparation for a traffic shift.

Additionally, a single lane of I-95 southbound will be closed near Exit 133 from 9 p.m. Sunday to 10 a.m. Monday as part of this work zone.
