FREDERICKSBURG, Va. – Travelers on Route 17 in Stafford County can expect delays tonight near the Interstate 95 interchange as crews continue to perform work associated with placing concrete beams for new I-95 overpasses.
Overnight lane closures, with brief traffic stops on Route 17 northbound, are required to allow crews to work safely over the travel lanes.
Interstate 95 southbound travelers may also experience brief delays tonight with a single lane closure near Exit 133/Falmouth.
Since Monday, June 3, crews have lifted eight concrete beams into place for the new I-95 overpasses spanning Route 17, which are being built as part of the I-95 Southbound Rappahannock River Crossing project.

Virginia State Police will assist with traffic control in the work zone.
