EXPECT OVERNIGHT DELAYS ON ROUTE 3 IN WHITE STONE
Route 3 will be reduced to a single lane near the Robert O. Norris Bridge on the evenings of Sunday, June 9 and Monday, June 10 for pavement marker installation

FREDERICKSBURG, Va. – Route 3 travelers can expect brief overnight delays in the Town of White Stone on the evenings of Sunday, June 9 and Monday, June 10.

Resurfacing work was recently finished on Route 3 approximately a half-mile north of the Robert O. Norris Bridge, and crews are returning to install new pavement markers.

Weather permitting, crews will install pavement markers on Route 3 between Old Ferry Road and Blueberry Point Road in White Stone at the following dates and times:

Sunday, June 9

  • 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. Monday

Monday, June 10

  • 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. Tuesday

Route 3 will be reduced to a single lane in the work zone at these times, with one-way, alternating traffic. Motorists will be guided through the work zone by a flagging crew.
