Public invited to visit online workshop, take online survey through Jan. 8
CULPEPER — The Virginia Department of Transportation invites public feedback on the Zion Crossroads Corridor Improvement study in Louisa and Fluvanna counties.
The public is encouraged to visit the online survey workshop to learn more about the study.
The study is evaluating vehicle, transit, bicycle, and pedestrian accommodations along Route 15 (James Madison Highway) between the intersection of Sommerfield Drive and the Starlite Park as well as along Route 250 (Three Notch Road/Richmond Road) between Route 631 (Troy Road) and Route 613 (Poindexter Road).
The purpose of the study is to develop short-, mid-, and long-term community-supported transportation solutions to provide safe travel for all uses and users of the roadway.
The results from this study will be reviewed and potential transportation projects will be developed and presented for feedback in early 2021.
The study is scheduled for completion in mid-2021.
This study is supported by a stakeholder group made up of representatives from Fluvanna County, Louisa County and the Thomas Jefferson Planning District Commission (TJPDC).
