Comment period extended through June 15 for US Route 460/College Avenue study in Bluefield
BRISTOL— The opportunity to provide input for the Virginia Department of Transportation’s (VDOT) Route 460/College Avenue (Bluefield) transportation planning study has been extended through June 15.
The virtual public involvement opportunity, which includes a presentation and a survey, is available at the following link on VDOT's website: http://www.virginiadot.org/Route460CollegeAve.
VDOT’s planning team has used feedback gained from a meeting held in October to develop proposed projects to enhance safety, accessibility and travel on US Route 460 and College Avenue between Route 720 and Leatherwood Lane. The virtual meeting is being held to provide an update on the proposed transportation improvement projects and solicit input.
Citizens can go online to http://www.virginiadot.org/Route460CollegeAve to watch a presentation regarding the study.
Written and verbal comments are also being accepted through June 15. Mail comments to Mr. Blake Ailor, Bristol District Planner, 870 Bonham Road, Bristol, Virginia 24201. Or, email comments to bristolinfo@vdot.virginia.gov, referencing “US Route 460/College Avenue Study” in the email subject line.
If you would like a paper copy of the survey, please reach out to Ailor at 276-669-6151.
